My name is Charlotte van Dam, and with Quiet Creation, I want to help people remember their talents by showing them what creating is all about. Through my videos, I aim to take viewers on a journey through the creative process and demonstrate the steps I had to take to create a beautiful product. In addition, in my articles I want to share the perspectives and skills that I believe an artist needs to activate their own creative gifts.

I believe that each of us is capable of creating something beautiful and meaningful in life. But... only when we remove ourselves from the daily background noise and enter a state of serenity. It is the quiet that brings us to creation.

When I am drawing, the process takes place not only on paper, but also in my head. I have been drawing since I was a child and this has resulted in a certain way of thinking. As an artist, the lens through which I view the world seems different. This does not always make life easy, but I do consider it to be enriching.

Just as illustrations in a book reinforce the story, I want to reinforce the story of my art with articles I have written.

My intention in writing these articles is to inspire the reader with a different perspective, one that I hope falls outside the box. Authenticity and originality are two important pillars on which I want to base my work.
